Yarien Rodriguez och Yan Regueiro med DJ Acosta
Born from the creative union of Yan Reguero and Yarien Rodriguez who met for first time in Stockholm, Sweden in 2019. Early in 2023, they founded the project
that months later would be baptized as KeTumba.
The music has a pop-soul foundation, influences from electronic music and a touch of afro-latin rhythms. The style of producing is inspired by different artist such as Quincy Jones, Timbaland, Avicci and Pharrell Williams, among others. The lyrics are characterized by being introspective and performative.
KeTumba had its first concert with seven own-written songs on September 16th 2023 at alias Teatern in Stockholm. Since then they have performed in various venues; such as Scalateatern, Fröken Vandal and The Node. KeTumba has released two singles named ”Report from the future” and ”Singing of mama”. They are available on most digital platforms. The band is now recording its first EP named ”Coming home”.
